Welcome to Trakehner stud farm Eichenhof in Uslar – in the Solling

At the edge of the woods, just above the Ahle valley, the stud farm Eichenhof is situated in an idyllic environment. There is enough room for about 50 horses of all ages. There are light, airy, and roomy stables and boxes for several horses. All the horses can graze every day. The mares with their foals, the guest horses and the competition horses remain near the main buildings in summer. One-year-olds and two-year-olds have their large pastures close by and are looked after on a daily basis.

The stud farm Eichenhof is not only a paradise for horses but also for their riders. A huge out-door court with a demanding show-jumping course. An outdoor dressage arena. A big indoor riding arena A fantastic and dreamlike cross-country terrain directly next to the buildings. The stud farm provides as a sports highlight a demanding dressage and jumping competition – competitions for junior riders, novice , elementary, and junior tests, dressage and jumping competitions up to the advanced level. This competition takes place every year in May and is initiated by the stud farm Eichenhof together with the RG Uslar.

The master of horse breeding, Mrs Gisela Gunia, is in charge of this operation. She herself was highly successful in various competitions in the fields dressage, jumping and cross country. Today she is a certified judge of dressage and jumping competitions up to the advanced tests. She is also a member of the examination commission for horse breeders of the Landwirtschaftskammer Hannover.
Mrs Gunia gives qualified riding lessons and will be very happy to help you choose your horse or give advice on how a foal is to be raised.
On her farm young horses are properly broken in to be prepared for official mare or stallion shows or - as well - for bassic or more advanced tests.
